Wedding Dress 2011 Trends | Bridesmaid Dresses
I would like to discuss the upcoming trends for wedding dress 2011 today. It may seem a little early, but in the design world, For one thing, the time has passed as far as inexpensive dresses go. Vera Wang and others scaled back most of their ensembles for 2009 and 2010 because of a weak economy, but they’re not staying there. Feeling that the economy might turn for the better, or at least isn’t still getting worse, wedding gown prices will be going back up, which means the best materials will be returning once more. Not that the materials used before weren’t good, but the best of the best will be back in fashion, lots of tulle and expensive lace, as well as extensive embroidery.
It may seem a little early to start discussing the upcoming trends for 2011, but in the design world, often trends are upwards of 18 months out. We’ve been doing a lot of reading and researching of the topic, and believe we’ll be as close as anyone else in discussing what’s possibly coming.

BRIDES NOT FEELING 'THE KATE EFFECT'
She might be bringing back the era of ladylike dressing, small hats and budget shopping, but Kate Middleton's wedding dress has had little or no effect on the taste of future brides-to-be. While millions of people tuned in to watch the royal nuptials last April and the gown attracted over 600,000 visitors when on display at the Buckingham palace, it seems no one wants to get married in her prim, conservative lace Sarah Burton-designed gown. Perhaps the most surprising absence of the Kate Middleton look-a-like dresses recently has been at the Bridal Fashion Week in New York where onlookers were expecting to be bombarded with lacy long-sleeved gowns. Designer Gregory Nato of Fancy New York bridal told the journal. “'That dress silhouette already existed.
