So I heard on the Tom Joyner Morning Show this morning that the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, wants a wedding gown by designers' Donna Karan, Vera Wang or Valentino.

Just in case you missed it, Franklin announced last week she was marrying long-time friend, William "Willie" Wilkerson. So the 69-year-songstress and singer of such classic hits "Respect" and "Chain of Fools" is in the market for a fabulous diva frock.
Now I'm all for women getting the princess wedding they deserves, no matter the size. But no one can ruin a special-occasion ensemble like Aretha. And it's not because she's on the hefty side, either. It's because Aretha squeezes into clothing that exposes too much meat. Meat is not necessarily bad. But it must be covered and it must be covered appropriately, especially if it's 69-year-old meat. (SMH)
I can see it now. Aretha trying to get Vera Wang to give her a low cut gown exposing so much decolletage it hurts. Wang trying to go along with it. After all she is the Queen, but knowing deep down in her fashion designer heart that it's a bad move.
