Wai-Ching wedding gowns are known for their bold use of color, and many feature freestyle, geometric embroidery across the bodice. The Tulip dress ($950) features ivory embroidery on silk charmeuse that starts off white, bleeds into purple and then fades into two different greens for a stunning, almost tie-dye effect.

The Yowying dress comes in rich hues of hand-dyed silk (the silvery blue is particularly striking) with godets of contrasting color at the bottom. This is the least expensive of Wai-Ching's dresses, at $695, which is not outrageous when you consider that each dress is custom-made and hand-stitched from hand-dyed natural and sustainable fibers.

I'm getting married some time next year and am looking into having an alternative wedding of sorts. I would love to find a dress that is medieval or victorian inspired in design that can be custom made for me. I'm thinking of possibly an Alice In Wonderland
