Prince William and Kate Middleton Mail Out Wedding Invitations
The 1,800 invites will include the likes of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle, David and Victoria Beckham, and Sir Elton John.
The news comes just days after the couple announced the wedding party for their upcoming nuptials. As expected, Prince Harry will be his brother's best man, while Kate has chosen her sister Pippa as her maid of honor.
William, 28, and Middleton, 29, became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya. Their wedding will take place at Westminster Abbey.

No Royal Wedding Invitation (Yet) For Michelle Obama
According to a retired British foreign service member I know, feelers are generally put out, through diplomatic channels, before something like a royal wedding in order to find out whether a given head of state and/or his/her spouse would attend if invited. Apparently, invitations are sent only if the answer is "yes". The Palace doesn't want to send an invitation if it might be turned down.
Assuming that my acquaintance is correct, my guess is that Mrs. Obama already knows whether she is going to receive an invitation. The fact that she didn't close off the possibility in her comment suggests that she has some reason to think that an invitation will be forthcoming. In other words, the British may well have made inquiries about whether or not she would attend if asked.
The President has not displayed "animosity" towards the British. He has simply made it clear, correctly and necessarily, that there are other nations whose friendship with the US is equally important and in some areas, perhaps, more important. The word from the Palace is the Queen and Mrs. Obama themselves got along quite well and that Mrs. Obama was invited back to make a private visit with one of her daughters on a later, non-official trip. She did so. I don't know whether she will be invited to the wedding, but I wouldn't be very surprised if she were.

My wedding will be very nice, but cost efficient, but I still want to do some of the standard procedures like invitations. I hope there is a web sight thst I can go to to order African-American invitations. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
